The Vaal Athletics Club organizes and hosts the Cape Gate Vaal Marathon on the first Sunday of March every year.
Cape Gate Vaal Marathon is one of the oldest marathon raves in South Africa and takes place on the first Sunday of March every year. The event has grown to include the 42.2km marathon, 21.1km half marathon, 10km development race and a 5km fun run.The perfect family day out with a race to suit all abilities.
